I know that it's a very rare occasion that I update my journal, but I think that it has been too long since my last one. Plus, my birthday was yesterday, so it's not a bad time to do it.
On saturday, we had a "birthday party" that I invited all of my friends to. I also invited my dad, and my sister. Unfortunately, my sister got sick and wasn't able to make it, so I'm hoping to see her soon. Anyway, We set up a whole bunch of computers, as well as a Gamecube, a PS2, and a Sega Genesis, in my tiny little room and gamed all night. The highlight of the night for me was when me and my friend Aaron (Action Baron) attempted to beat Gunstar Heroes on the hard difficulty setting. We have tried so many times, but we never been able to beat the game's final stage. Saturday was no exeption, but it was still fun.
Since I was still up at about 5:30am, I woke up my mom so that we could go to Wal-Mart and get a Nintendo Wii when they opened, as was planned. They were getting them in on Sunday, and if you haven't been living under a rock, you know that you have to be an early bird in order to get one. When we got there, I was expecting more competition, even in the small town that I live in. Although there was only two other people there to get one when the store opened. We had no problem getting one since there was 17 of 'em. I was torn between Wario Ware: Smooth Moves and Twilight Princess, but I ended up getting Smooth Moves since it has single Wiimote multiplayer and I had friends over. I went home satisfied. I'd like to thank all of my family and friends for the money that donated to the cause.
The Wii is damn fun to play. I recommend it! When I came home, I hooked it up and played for a while. Me and Eric had a blast making our own Miis and then putting them into Wii Sports. Me and him played Wario Ware and Wii Sports for a while, but I eventually got pretty tired, seeing as I hadn't gotten any sleep at all. It was really hard to sleep with everyone trying to play the Wii in my small, little room. I got a little bit of sleep, only to be awoken by my friend Josh. Eric an Aaron had already left, and my friend PJ was sleeping on the floor. Not too long afterwards, his family picked him up. I didn't make the fact that I was awake apparent, because for some reason, I hate waking up when I know people can see me. Don't know why, but I'm just weird like that.
Anyway, enough of this crap. Bye!
